Freshman Antoine Davis of U of D has made 123 this season. Tonight he broke Steph Curry’s record for most 3’s made by a freshman.
Travis Bader is the all-time leader with 504 made.
Keydren Clark is 5th all-time with 435. Key Key made 109 his freshman year.

One of the greatest high school point guards I have ever seen. As a freshman at Molloy, he sat next to Coach Curran for the entire first quarter.
I first saw Julius Erving in person when I was 12. He played for the Nets. Showed up to a Converse All-Stars clinic held at Power Memorial High School, threw a few dunks down and split. One month later he was sold to the 76ers.
“Back in the ’60s, ’70s, my mindset and the way I play would be perfect. I think we kind of lost that in today’s game. Everything’s become real cute. Everybody’s scared to go to the rim. Everybody’s scared to get hit. Everybody’s scared to touch. I thrive on the contact. Contact is in my nature.”

The year was 1984, early November. The Chicago Bulls were in New York City to take on the New York Knicks. It was Michael Jordan’s first regular season game at 33rd and 8th. He was a rookie out of North Carolina.
I too was in the house that night.
Jordan went off for 33 points.
Kevin Loughery was the coach of the Bulls, he was my favorite coach in the league. Chicago had Orlando Woolridge, Sid Green, Wes Matthews, Q.Dailey and Jawaan Oldham. What a crew!
Hubie Brown coached the Knicks. Bernard King was their guy. It was a fun night.
