New York, led by Jalen Brunson with 47 points (18-34 FG) took a 3-1 lead in the series. Knicks look to close it out Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Josh Hart shot 0-7 from the field but pulled down 17 rebounds and had 5 assists. Hart also had 3 blocks.

Brunson broke the Knicks all-time record for most points scored in a playoff game set by Bernard King who had scored 46 points in 1984. King actually did it twice against the Detroit Pistons in Games 2 and 3. Brunson added 10 assists.

Julius Erving, Allen Iverson, Dawn Staley and John Starks sitting court-side. A-Frank asked me, “wonder if Jay Wright was at the game?”

Watching Game 4 of the Lakers-Nuggets Saturday night the announcer said, “it’s a possession game. Every possession counts.”
