Last night Golden State jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the Western conference semi-finals, best-of-seven series.

”We picked up right where we left off,” Steph Curry said. ”We weren’t clicking making shots early on but our defense really gave us an opportunity to find that flow, and that’s what you need in the playoffs.”

In a rare occurrence, Golden State did not out-shoot their opponent from way downtown.

Utah shot 9-29 and Golden State connected on 7-29. Don’t see that often but what you do see is the assists; Warriors dished out 32, Utah 25. GS turned it over 7 times, Jazz, 13.

Warriors have more “30 assists” games than anyone. I think they mentioned on TNT last night only the Lakers from way back in the day (80’s) have as many as Golden State in one season.

Boston beat Washington in OT last night 129-119. The Celtics now lead the best-of-seven, Eastern conference semi-finals 2-0.  Isaiah Thomas dropped 53 points.  John Wall of Washington scored 40 points and dished out 13 assists.

”It’s nice to be in Celtics history with all the great players,” Thomas said. ”But until you win a championship, you can’t consider yourself a great player. That’s what it’s all about.”

Always remember, share the ball, hit the open man and protect the ball…
