Nice to see NBA TV and NBA.com give some love to the history of the game. It shouldn’t take a lock-out though to keep these wonderful players legacies alive.
New Detroit Pistons head coach Lawrence Frank on his time at Indiana University via Eli Zaret of Pistons.com
Chris Mullin from last night’s Hall of Fame induction.
“I played for the love of the game. I had to work hard to compete at this level. I made a career out of my passion.”
Dennis Rodman was also enshrined.
“I didn’t play the game for the money, I didn’t play the game to be famous,” he said. “What you see here is more just an illusion that I love to just be an individual that’s very colorful.”
It was a pleasure listening to Stanford women’s head coach Tara VanDerveer. She clearly enjoys Malcolm Gladwell. I had a chance to meet her last Fall here in Michigan at a basketball clinic. She was outstanding.
